
It’s the third Sunday of June and this is the day that Father’s Day is celebrated. The desire to commemorate fatherhood sprang initially from the aftermath of America’s largest mining disaster. Did you know that it is an American custom that was not widely adopted in the UK until after the Second World War? Last year Britons spent £951m celebrating it.
